David Bobanick, Executive Director
David has more than a decade of experience in non-profit food recovery and distribution.
Since joining Rotary First Harvest (RFH) in 2001, David has increased the amount of produce collected and distributed annually, as well as enhancing the organization’s strategic impact in the community.  David has been instrumental in developing Rotary-based hunger relief programs in other states (Oregon, Florida, California, and most recently in the greater New Orleans area).  He has been invited to serve in an advisory capacity on several Washington state, national and international committees and boards dealing with hunger response initiatives.

An active member of Mercer Island Rotary Club, David currently serves as the Club’s President as well as an officer of the Club Foundation Board.  He also serves on several local and national non-profit boards, and was recently elected Vice President of the Hunger and Malnutrition Rotarian Action Group. David was chosen to participate in the inaugural Non-Profit Executive Leadership Institute at the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Affairs, and recently participated in an Executive Leadership Institute at Stanford University’s School of Social Innovation.

Katy Boehm, Program and Administrative Director
Katy has a degree in Agriculture and Food Business Management from the University of Minnesota. Katy directs food procurement, transportation coordination, donation tracking, and handles day to day agency operations.  She is an active member of the Lake Union Rotary Club.

Jacki Lorenz, Development Director
Jacki directs our fundraising, event planning, marketing & public relations efforts.  She writes grants & speaks to the Rotary Clubs of District #5030 & beyond, to business owners, CFO’s & CEO’s. She educates them about the mission & accomplishments of RFH & hunger relief in general.  She has been an RFH Board & Executive Committee member.  Her prior experience includes executive positions with Bristol Myers, Johnson & Johnson, Borg Warner, WaMu & KeyBank.
Jacki served as Board & Finance chairs of Sound Mental Health & Highline Community College’s Foundation & advisory board member of Habitat for Humanity. She currently serves on the Board, Finance and Orientation Committees of Easter Seals Washington. She has been an active member of Seattle #4 Rotary for 8 years, serving 2 terms as chair of the Orientation & New Members committees & as a member of Fellowship, Greeters & Microphone committees.

Benjamin Rasmus, Harvest Against Hunger (HAH) Program Director

Benjamin came to RFH as an AmeriCorps*VISTA member in 2009, researching capacity and transportation issues and implementing pilot projects in Washington State to improve emergency food distribution.  His knowledge of the statewide hunger relief system, combined with experience as an AmeriCorps*VISTA, positions him well to coordinate the statewide Harvest Against Hunger program.  The HAH program engages Harvest VISTA to develop local produce collection programs across the state.  He is also a member of the Seattle International District Rotary Club. Benjamin is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University with degrees in Communications and Chinese Studies.
