DONORS
Food donors call RFH when they have surplus product to give to our program.

TRUCKERS
RFH staff call their trucking contacts and find a company that can pick up the donated products from farm, packing house or processing plant.

FOOD BANK WAREHOUSES
Truckers take the food from the donor to food bank distribution warehouses (such as the ones shown here), each serving a number of local hunger programs.

LOCAL FOOD BANKS
Usually within 3 to 5 days, RFH produce is in the hands of hungry food bank clients.

Rotary First Harvest is able to gather millions of pounds of wholesome, surplus foods that otherwise would go to waste. Our network of trucking contacts ensures efficient pickup and delivery to food bank distribution centers across the state. Every month in Washington state, community food banks provide nutritious products to hundreds of thousands of individuals. Over half of these people are children or elderly.
