RFH Day of Hunger Relief
Saturday October 13th, 2007

RFH 25th Anniversary LogoSaturday, October 13th 2007 will be RFH Day of Hunger Relief. On that day, Rotary First Harvest will organize work parties at local hunger relief programs throughout District 5030 where Rotarians will be invited to participate.

The work parties, which are scheduled to run from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, will provide an excellent opportunity for Rotarians to be involved in “hands-on” projects with local food banks in their own communities.

At the culmination of these work parties on October 13th, 2007, there will be a casual dress lunch celebration from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Montlake Community Center. This event will honor those Rotarians who have been involved over the years with this worthy project and will be highlighted by an awards ceremony honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to hunger relief efforts.

The cost of the luncheon will be $25 per person. Space is limited, so please contact Katy as soon as possible to reserve your club's seats and receive your tickets for the event.

RFH Day of Hunger Relief Work Party Locations
Below is the list of organizations that have offered to host Rotary work parties for the RFH Day of Hunger Relief effort. Note that we hope to add a few more locations in the South King County area. Any additional locations will be announced as soon as possible.

Seattle Area:

Eastside:

Please determine which food program your club would like to help and contact Katy so we can be sure to coordinate with those programs. Note that the NWH warehouse can accomodate a large number of Rotarians, so we may ask your group to work there if is too limited at other places.

We hope to deliver bins of apples and/or pears to every location a few days before the 13th so all Rotarians will be working on the same project.

Thank You!
