Get Involved
We are a District Project of Rotary District 5030 and this page is intended for clubs in that District. If you are a member of a club in another district within Washington state and are interested in helping us (our food reaches nearly all of the 300+ food banks in our state), please send an email to David Bobanick. If you are a member of a club outside of Washington, email David to receive information on how you can support hunger relief efforts in your area.
Be actively involved with RFH:
- Have an active RFH Board Representative who attends the quarterly meetings. Click here for a list of current board members.
- Encourage your Rep to make regular announcements updating the club on RFH activities.
- Support the Fall Harvest Fund Drive (our annual appeal for individual donations).
- Schedule an RFH speaker to give a program at your club.
- Schedule an RFH work party as a club activity. Click here for pictures and stories of recent donations and work parties.
Two ways that clubs can support RFH financially:
- Use RFH Speakers’ Gift cards.
- Make a club gift as part of your Community Service activities. (There are many ways to raise funds for RFH – from our very own “Fasting for First Harvest” program to standard fundraising options such as auctions or Happy Bucks. We would be glad to help you come up with ideas.)
- Click here to see if your club has made a financial contribution recently.
RFH Work Parties – 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month:
- Northwest Harvest The second Saturday of every month, Rotarians are welcome to participate in work parties at the Northwest Harvest warehouse. These work parties typically are held from 9:00 AM to Noon. Click here for directions to the Northwest Harvest warehouse.
- Food Lifeline In the North end of Seattle, Rotary First Harvest work parties are held the fourth Saturday of every month from 9:00 AM to noon at the Food Lifeline warehouse in Shoreline.
