Hearts & Wine raised a record amount to help Harvest Against Hunger and our partners provide healthy food for those in need.
Thank you to everyone who attended Hearts & Wine and gave generously to help people in need in our community. We’re excited to report that because of you, Hearts & Wine raised a record-breaking total of $235,000, and nearly $100,000 in the room on Friday evening!
It was a pleasure presenting the Hunger Relief Hero award to Dow Constantine and Michael Frazier, two people who have contributed much to increasing access to healthy food. The energy in the room was mesmerizing as Darell Holden’s silky jazz set the mood for the evening and the charismatic Matt Lorch did a masterful job drawing everyone into the excitement of the auction. We were truly humbled as attendees raised their paddles, demonstrating a powerful and collective commitment to helping our neighbors who need food assistance.

Hearts & Wine 2024
Harvest Against Hunger’s signature event is coming! Our 2024 event will be held at Herban Feast’s beautiful Sodo Park venue. Once again, Hearts & Wine promises to be a festive evening of fun, fellowship, fundraising, and wine tasting (beer and spirits too!) and a delicious dinner. Join Rotarians, business owners, community leaders and concerned citizens who are passionate about reducing hunger and food waste and building healthier communities.
During the program, you will learn how hunger is affecting our community from different voices and the many ways Harvest Against Hunger is making connections to get healthy produce to people in need.

Matt Lorch: Auctioneer and Event MC
Having worked as a news anchor and reporter for 26 years in some of the country’s largest markets including Seattle, Boston, Miami, and Baltimore, Matt developed an audience engagement style all his own.
He has a true passion for hosting fundraising events for nonprofit organizations.

Matt’s a local guy. He grew up in the Seattle area, graduating from Sammamish High School in Bellevue and the University of Washington.
When he’s not hosting events for organizations, you’ll find Matt spending time with his wife and two children.

Soulful songstress Darelle (Da-rell) Holden is the one.
Holden’s sultry, expressive, and singular vocal qualities will have you hooked.
Her prolific career as a touring singer has taken her all over the world, both as a critically acclaimed solo artist and a much sought-after backup vocalist. Darelle has performed with legends, including Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, Bobby Caldwell, Norman Brown, and Tom Jones, who lauded her as “a great singer”.
