Seattle
Lettuce Link, a program of Solid Ground, coordinates Seattle’s Community Fruit Tree Harvest, delivers seeds to Seattle food banks and works closely with the Seattle P-Patches giving gardeners programs. All of this work increases interest and distribution of fresh local produce – both gleaned and grown for food banks.
About the VISTA:
Originally hailing from the East Coast, Amanda is a relative newcomer to the Seattle urban gardening scene. She is excited by the growing sustainable agriculture movement and its potential to reconnect people to the land and to their food. Combined with her passion for social and food justice, Amanda hopes to help forge lasting bonds between gardeners, their environment, and the people who need fresh produce most.
