Clark County Food Bank (CCFB) provides millions of pounds of food every year to partner food banks and is spearheading innovative gardening projects, like 78th St Heritage Farm and Fields of Plenty. CCFB, in partnership with Urban Abundance, is now hosting an AmeriCoprs*VISTA to further develop a local gleaning and produce recovery project.
About the VISTA:
As a native Pacific Northwestern, Kim grew up playing in the good old outdoors, developing a love for nature. She has held diverse environmental jobs ranging from trail builder with the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, stream restoration coordinator with Clark Public Utilities, Forest Ranger in Mt St Helens area, and environmental educator with Audubon Society. She also has a passion for sustainable local agriculture. Having helped establish a school farm in West Lin-Wilsonville School District, her drive to make healthy food accessible to all has grown. She is excited to be the new Gleaning Coordinator with Clark County Food Bank and Urban Abundance.
