Harvest Against Hunger

Rotary First Harvest of Florida
In ealry spring of 2003, a group of Rotarians met in Ocala, Florida to learn about Rotary First Harvest and determine what they could do to get fresh produce to the people in their community who rely on local hunger programs for food. Within a few months, a committee was formed and RFH of Florida was established.

Rotary First Harvest of Florida is focusing what’s missing in Florida – the refrigerated trailers that are a necessity for transporting fresh produce in Florida. The group has found a ready and very able partner in Farm Share, a non-profit organization located in South Florida that works with growers to collect fresh produce.
