RFH @ Food Lifeline
The fourth Saturday of every month, Rotarians are welcome to participate in work parties at the Food Lifeline warehouse, located in Shoreline, just north of Seattle. Work parties at the Food Lifeline warehouse typically include up to 40 Rotarians, friends, families and guests. Work party tasks often include sorting foods that have been donated at local food drives, repacking rice, beans and other dry goods into family-sized servings and repacking apples, pears and other fruits that are donated in 1,000 pound bins.
Volunteers as young as six are welcome – with adult supervision. Email volunteer@fll.org today to confirm your spot at our next work party. Please RSVP each time your group plans to attend so that we can prepare accordingly.
Time: Fourth Saturday of every month from 9:00 AM to Noon (doughnut break at 10:15!)
Place/directions: Food Lifeline warehouse
What to wear: The warehouse can be chilly, especially in the winter months. Plan to wear a few layers of clothes, since once the work begins, you’ll warm up quickly. Always wear comfortable shoes, but not sandals please.
How to get involved: Please email Food Lifeline directly to schedule your group.
