HAH Summer VISTA Associates

Garen Glean Wallas

The Harvest Against Hunger AmeriCorps Summer VISTA Associate program offers individuals the opportunity to become engaged in existing projects for 8 to 10 weeks during the summer. HAH’s Summer VISTA Associate program plans to partner with 14 host sites around Washington state in the summer of 2017 – either past or present year-round HAH host sites.

The goal of all of these projects is to sustain and support local gardening or gleaning efforts over the summer months while working towards eradicating poverty. In addition, HAH is working to strengthen summer feeding programs (for youth or seniors) by increasing access to fresh produce to help supplement these local programs. Summer VISTA Associates are available by application to past and present HAH host sites and require a cost-share to participate. Additionally, Summer VISTA positions are unlike full-time positions in that they arepermitted to engage in direct service activities.

We are now recruiting for summer of 2017! Check out the Harvest Against Hunger Recruitment page for more information and to apply.
