Rotary First Harvest | Hunger Relief Refrigerator Grant Initiative

Hunger Relief Refrigerator Grant Initiative

One of the highest-reported needs from our hunger relief partners across Washington is the need to safely and effectively store perishable and frozen foods prior to distribution.

NOTE: As of 3:15 PM December 12, 2018, funding for this initiative has been fully expended.  We will pursue additional funding sources, so if you would like to be placed on a wait-list for future funding, please complete the form below.

Rotary First Harvest and Northwest Harvest are teaming up to provide up to $500 rebates toward the purchase of refrigerated and/or frozen storage units for hunger relief programs across Washington. This initiative was developed to continue the outstanding model that Dairy Farmers of Washington coordinated previously. A total of $10,000 is initially available for this initiative, and we hope to add new partners to expand it over the next year.

Due to the limited amount of funding available, we can only provide one grant per organization. Grants are available on a first come, first served basis until funding is fully expended.

The Hunger Relief Refrigerator Grant Initiative is open to hunger relief partners in Washington, including meal programs, food pantries and tribal hunger relief programs. Eligible programs must be registered as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit in the state of Washington, have a fiscal sponsor supporting your services, or be a Federal or State recognized tribe.
