Volunteer with RFH

David S packingWant to help pack some of the healthy produce that Rotary First Harvest gathers for our local food banks? Want to show your children, friends and neighbors how Rotary is making a difference in our community? Rotary First Harvest work parties are a fantastic way to get involved in Rotary’s fight against hunger.

RFH work parties happen every second Saturday morning at the Northwest Harvest warehouse in Kent, and every fourth Saturday at the Food Lifeline warehouse in south Seattle.  Help pack food that both organizations distribute to food banks serving families and individuals in need.

Space at the work parties is limited.  Please use the form below to reserve a space for yourself and your guests.  Be sure to use the pull-down list to enter your Rotary club so we can credit your club for your generous time!

You’ll be working in a warehouse, so be sure to dress appropriately:

• On your feet: Volunteers must wear closed-toed, flat shoes for safety. No sandals or flip flops.  Tennis shoes or other flat shoes are fine.
• On your body: Please wear comfortable, casual clothing and dress in layers. The warehouse can be chilly for much of the year. In the summer, it can be quite warm, but shoulders and underarms must be covered. Volunteers who do not come with the required shoes or clothing will be unable to volunteer with us for that shift.
• Jewelry: Please leave all jewelry at home. It may not be worn in the food packing rooms.
